Ingredients
Pitted dates 1 cup
Eggs 4
Granulated sugar ½ cup
Ground nutmeg ½ tsp
Salt ¼ tsp
Puff pastry (thawed) 1 sheet
Unsalted butter 1 tbs
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a chopper or food processor, chop the dates after taking out the seeds.
Mix in eggs, sugar, nutmeg and salt until smooth.
Roll out the puff pastry and cut into small squares.
Spoon a small amount of the date mixture on half of each square.
Fold the other half over to form a triangle and press edges to seal.
Brush the filled triangles with melted butter and bake for 20-25 minutes
or until golden brown.
