Sports and training competitions are undoubtedly hallmarks of the vibrant environment in garrisons and the military culture across the country. The Pakistan Army's annual sports competitions aim to foster a healthy sporting environment and identify new talent for national and international levels.
The 3rd Army Wushu Championship 2024/25 was held from November 4-7, 2024, at Al Barq Hockey Stadium, Okara Cantonment. The event was organized under the supervision of the Pakistan Wushu Federation, along with the Army Sports and Fitness Directorate. Eight Corps teams competed in twelve weight categories across Sanshou, Nan Quan, and Chang Quan (Sanda and Taolu).
Throughout the championship, participants displayed exceptional sportsmanship, dedication, commitment, enthusiasm, martial arts skills, and discipline. Gujranwala Corps emerged as the champion of the tournament, while Karachi Corps secured the runners-up position.
The Chief Guest, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Major General Naiknam Muhammad Baig, presented trophies to the winning teams and awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals to individual players.
