Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have a longstanding tradition of close military cooperation, particularly in training. As part of this enduring partnership, cadets from the Royal Saudi Navy regularly participate in comprehensive training programs at various Pakistan Navy facilities, including training units, ships, and aviation squadrons, further solidifying the strong bonds between the two nations' naval forces.
96 Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) trainees from the King Fahad Naval Academy completed comprehensive sea training. They went through tactics, weapon handling, combat training, navigation, naval operations, and seamanship modules. A familiarization tour to Naval Aviation was also arranged.
A working lunch was held with RSNF officers and cadets at the culmination. Commander Pakistan Fleet, Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi HI (M), graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The Chief Guest interacted with the cadets and discussed various topics pertaining to training and collaboration between brotherly countries.
The training was a resounding success, providing RSNF cadets with a valuable opportunity to learn from the Pakistan Navy's senior naval leadership.
The collaboration also underscores the multifaceted defense relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. It is a testament to the mutual commitment to enhance military capabilities and strategic cooperation, thus reflecting a shared vision.
