Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Admiral Naveed Ashraf officially visited Romania. During the visit, a combined meeting of the CNS was held with Chief of Defense Staff, General Gheorghita Vlad and Chief of Romanian Navy, Vice Admiral Mihai Panait onboard Romanian Navy Frigate Regina Maria. Issues related to regional maritime security, professional matters of mutual interest, and bilateral military collaboration were discussed in the meeting. While acknowledging the significance of strong bilateral military collaboration, the dignitaries agreed to further enhance mutual interactions in diversified military domains.
During his visit to the National Defense University of Romania, the Admiral also delivered a lecture on Collaborative Maritime Security, stressing the need for collaborative maritime security efforts.
CNS emphasized Pakistan's commitment to resolving maritime disputes through dialogue and negotiations. He stressed that achieving effective maritime security requires a collective effort, as no nation can accomplish this alone. The Pakistan Navy plays a vital role in collaborative efforts, participating in initiatives like CMF's CTF-150 and 151, regional patrols, and the multinational exercise AMAN. The Naval Chief's recent visit is expected to strengthen and broaden the defense relationship between the two friendly nations.
