Ahmed, a 10th class student, was thrilled to spend his summer vacations with his grandparents in Lahore. On 14th August, the great day of Pakistan’s Independence, his grandparents asked him if he wanted to visit the Lahore Zoo. Ahmad eagerly agreed.
So, they set out early in the morning. As they entered the zoo, Ahmad’s eyes widened with wonder. He had never seen so many animals before! The Lahore Zoo administration had decorated the gate and building of the zoo with colorful flags and lightening. It was due to the Independence Day.
Ahmad’s grandparents bought him a bag of popcorns and they began their journey, walking hand in hand. The first exhibit they saw was the lion’s enclosure. Ahmad was amazed by the majestic creature’s mane and its powerful roar. His grandfather told him interesting facts about lions and their habitats. Ahmad listened intently, asking questions and taking it all in.
Next, they visited the elephants’ enclosure. Ahmad was fascinated by the giant animals’ trunks and tusks. His grandmother told him about the importance of conservation and how elephants were an endangered species. Ahmad felt a sense of responsibility to protect these incredible creatures.
As the day wore on, the sun beat down on them. Ahmad’s grandparents suggested that they should take a break and enjoy the cool breeze by the lake. They sat down on a bench, munching on their popcorn and watching the ducks swim. Ahmad felt grateful for this special day with his grandparents.
After their break, they continued their journey, visiting the monkey enclosure, the reptile house, and the bird aviary. Ahmad laughed and learned, asking questions and taking photos. His grandparents smiled, happy to see him so joyful.
As the day came to a close, Ahmad thanked his grandparents for the best day ever. He realized that the zoo was not just a place to see animals, but also a place to learn about the importance of conservation and respect for all living creatures. Ahmad left the zoo with unforgettable memories and a newfound appreciation for the natural world.
