Pakistan-United States Infantry Rifle Company Exchange Exercise-2024 is a bilateral joint exercise that was conducted for the first time in the counterterrorism domain. Its purpose is to exchange tactical skills and combat the menace of terrorism at the subunit level.
On June 29, 2024, a two-week exercise commenced at the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), Pabbi, with the participation of Infantry companies from both sides. The Infantry Rifle Company Exchange aimed to refine drill procedures and share counterterrorism experiences vital for countering the perpetual terrorism threat faced by both nations. The exercise emphasized marksmanship and tactical skills involved in urban warfare, honing expertise at both individual and collective levels. It focused on adopting best practices at the subunit level for effective counterterrorism operations. The General Officer Commanding (GOC), Kharian Garrison witnessed the inaugural event.
The closing ceremony of the exercise was held at NCTC, Pabbi on July 10, 2024. The GOC of the 17th Division attended the Closing Ceremony as Chief Guest. Major General Charles G. Kemper, Commanding General of the 34th Infantry Division of the United States Army, also witnessed the closing ceremony. The troops displayed the highest standards of professional excellence during the ceremony.
