In the aftermath of recent unprecedented rain spells in Gwadar, Ormara, and adjoining villages of Balochistan, the Pakistan Navy (PN) actively undertook a rescue and relief operation named 'Operation Madad'. Instant and timely relief was provided to the affected families upon receiving information through local sources that a large number of people were stranded in houses due to accumulated water in the vicinity and needed ration supplies.
PN rescue teams immediately established coordination and airdropped ration bags to the affected people of Muradi, Dando, Kulanch, and adjoining isolated areas of Gwadar District. PN Seaking helicopters undertook multiple sorties to ensure the ration supply to hundreds of stranded families.
PN also established free medical camps in flood-affected areas. Hundreds of patients availed themselves of free treatment from specialist doctors of the PN.
PN has always assisted coastal communities in crisis situations and is committed to continuing rescue operations until the ongoing situation normalizes and to assisting fellow countrymen in every hour of need.
