Military College Sui Balochistan (MCSB) annually welcomes and educates approximately 90 candidates from across Pakistan. This year, as part of the customary procedure, the 17th entry cadets and their parents arrived at MCSB on April 20, 2024. The college had made special arrangements to ensure the families' comfort, including reception and orientation sessions to familiarize them with the college activities and facilities. Senior cadets greeted the arriving families at the college gate and escorted them to Iqbal House, the first residence for the new Bolanians. House Officers warmly welcomed them and facilitated the documentation process. Subsequently, cadets were shown their assigned rooms for their first year. Parents and cadets also had the opportunity to explore various dresses and items exhibited in Iqbal House, which are essential for the cadets' daily activities.
Following this, the cadets and their parents proceeded to Moeed Hall for a formal reception ceremony. Parents and their wards were then taken on a tour of the Science and Arts Clubs, where they had the opportunity to see various gadgets created by the cadets. These innovative creations underscored the college's commitment to providing top-tier theoretical and practical education. Additionally, attendees were introduced to various college events through engaging videos and movie clips. Brigadier Wasim Qasir, Commandant of MCSB, delivered an address to the audience, formally welcoming them and expressing confidence in their decision to entrust their children to MCSB. He emphasized the pivotal role of education in national prosperity and assured families of the college's dedication to nurturing their children into their best selves. Moreover, he assured families that they would witness tangible positive changes in their wards shortly.
After the session at Moeed Hall, a group photo of the gathering was taken in front of the Academic Block, capturing the memorable first day of the young Bolanians at the college. To conclude the day's events on a warm note, lunch was served to the guests at the Cadets' Mess, providing an opportunity for them to interact with the Commandant. Subsequently, the parents of the cadets bid farewell and departed from the college premises.
