Pakistani Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) athlete Anita Karim has made a remarkable achievement by clinching two gold medals at the Siam Cup in Bangkok, Thailand. Competing in both the 55 kg lightweight category and the ‘Absolute’ category, Anita demonstrated her prowess by securing victories against opponents from Japan and Thailand. 
In the lightweight category, her triumphs came through a combination of submission and earning points. Similarly, in the ‘Absolute’ category, Anita achieved victories through both submission and points, showcasing her versatility and skill in different aspects of the sport.

27-year-old Anita Karim has come a long way for a country like Pakistan where women participating in sports is not a norm. She is winning laurels for the country on the international stage, which will help other women find feet in various sports throughout the country.
