Mother of  the Nation, Fatima Jinnah

Fatima Jinnah, sister of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah — Founder of Pakistan — was a  dental surgeon, political leader, stateswoman and one of the leading women during the Pakistan Movement. In 1923, she became a close associate and an adviser to her elder brother Muhammad Ali Jinnah.  She remained the closest confidant of her brother until his death. She wrote the book My Brother in 1955 which was published 32 years later, in 1987.
 

First Female Governor of Pakistan, Begum Ra’ana Liaquat Ali Khan

Ra’ana Liaquat Ali Khan — wife of Pakistan’s first Prime Minister Liaquat Ali Khan — was the first female governor of Pakistan. She was appointed as the Governor of Sindh in February 1973 and remained  so till February 1976.  Begum Ra’ana Liaquat Ali formed the Women National Guards and she was awarded with the rank of a Brigadier. She worked and put great efforts to empower women, as she knew that empowering women is indispensable for bringing change and development in society. 

First Female Prime Minister of the Muslim World, Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto

In 1989 Benazir Bhutto became Prime Minister of Pakistan, the first woman to head the government of an Islamic country. She was elected twice as the Prime Minister of Pakistan (1988-1990 and 1993-1996). As the Prime Minister, she was respected for her vision, commitment and promoting democratic values. She was also named one of seven winners of the United Nations Prize in the Field of Human Rights.
 
First Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hina Rabbani Khar

Hina Rabbani served as the Minister of State for Finance and Economic Affairs in the Federal Cabinet between 2008 and 2011. On June 13, 2009, she became the first woman to present the Pakistani budget in the National Assembly. In 2011, Hina Rabbani Khar became the first Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Pakistan. She is widely appreciated by the international community due to her insightful views, expressiveness and perspective to bring peace and harmony in the South Asian region. 

First Female National Assembly Speaker, Dr. Fahmida Mirza

Dr. Fahminda Mirza became the first female Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan. She is also considered as the first female Speaker of the Islamic world. Born on December 20, 1956, she is the current Federal Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination since August 20, 2018.

First Female Major General of Pakistan Army, Dr. Shahida Malik

Dr. Shahida Malik became the first female to reach the rank of Major-General in the history of Pakistan Army. She received two prestigious awards, Hilal-i-Imtiaz and Sitara-i-Imtiaz. Her commendable career also includes serving in the Indo-Pakistan wars.

First Female Fighter Pilot, Ayesha Farooq
 
Born on August 24, 1987, Ayesha Farooq is a fighter pilot in Pakistan Air Force. In 2013, as a Flight Lieutenant, Ayesha Farooq became first female pilot to fly a fighter aircraft.

First Female Fighter Pilot to Embrace Shahadat, Marium Mukhtiar

Marium Mukhtiar became the first Pakistani female fighter pilot to embrace Shahadat after her aircraft crashed near Kundian in Mianwali District in the northwest of Punjab on November 24, 2015. She once said on her journey in to a traditionally male dominated field, that she desired to "do something different". She wrote a new chapter in the history of PAF.

Governor State Bank of Pakistan, Dr. Shamshad Akhtar
 
Dr. Shamshad Akhtar took over the charge as Governor State Bank of Pakistan on January 2, 2006. She became the first woman and the 14th Governor of the State Bank. She served in the Asian Development Bank for almost 15 years, rising through the ranks from Senior Economist, to the highest professional positions, including Special Senior Advisor to the President of ADB, and Director-General of the South-East Asia region.

First Female Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court, Justice Tahira Safdar 

Justice Tahira Safdar is currently serving as the Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court. She is the first woman to be appointed as a civil judge in Balochistan. She has also served as the chairperson of Balochistan Service Tribunal, District and Session judge.

First Female SHO, Ghazala Syed
 
Sub-Inspector Ghazala Syed is the first female SHO of Clifton Police Station Karachi. She has been in police service since 1994.

First Constable Bomb Disposal Unit, Rafia Qaseem Baig

Rafia Baig is the first Pakistani female to join the Bomb Disposal Unit. She joined the police as constable in 2009. A bomb blast near the session court occurred during her first day in the police service, an incident that motivated her to join the bomb disposal squad.

First Pakistani Female to Climb Mount Everest, Samina Baig
 
Born in Shamshal Valley of Upper Hunza, Samina Baig became the first Pakistani woman and third Pakistani mountaineer to climb Mount Everest in July 2013. She is the first Pakistani woman to have climbed all the seven highest peaks in the seven continents.

First Female Cricket Team Captain, Sana Mir
 
Sana Mir (born on January 5, 1986) is a cricketer and the former captain of Pakistan national women’s cricket team in ODIs and T20s. Sana Mir became the first female cricketer to receive Pakistan Cricket Board Woman Cricketer of the Year Award in 2013.

Youngest IT Professional, Arfa Karim Randhawa

Born on February 2, 1995, Arfa Karim Randhawa was a Pakistani minor IT student. In 2004, at the age of 9, she became the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP). She had her name in the Guinness Book of World Records. She kept the title until 2008. She also received the President's Award for Pride of Performance in 2005. She died on January 14, 2012 at the age of just sixteen years.

World’s Youngest Nobel Laureate, Malala Yousafzai

Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest Nobel Prize laureate. Born in the Swat District of north-western Pakistan, where her father was a school owner and an activist on educational issues. After having blogged for the BBC since 2009 about her experiences during the Taliban's growing influence in the region, in 2012 the Taliban attempted to assassinate Malala Yousafzai. She survived, but underwent several operations in the UK, where she lives today. In addition to her university education, she continues her work for the right of girls to education.
