President of Afghanistan Mr. Ashraf Ghani telephoned Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa to share the news of termination of Mullah Fazlullah, who was in hiding in Afghanistan since 2009, in a drone strike in Kunar Province, Afghanistan. This confirmation given on June 15, 2018 came as a great relief to the scores of Pakistani families that fell victim to the terrors of TTP, including the APS massacre.
This sharing of information reflects the stance of the Pakistan military leadership that has always maintained that a cooperative and coordinated approach is the best response to the menace of terrorism.

Attack along Pak-Afghan Border Leaves One Martyred

Troops engaged in fencing along the Pak-Afghan Border west of Gurbaz, North Waziristan were attacked on June 24, 2018 by terrorists in an attempt to conduct a fire raid. In the attack Sepoy Niaz Ali, 29, embraced martyrdom while a Junior Commissioned Officer was injured. The Shaheed was from the Mardan District and left behind a bereaved family.
