Commander CENTCOM (Central Command), U.S. Army, General Michael ‘Erik’ Kurilla, visited Pakistan and met with senior military leadership, including Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Sahir Shamshad and Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir. Commander CENTCOM observed conditions and operations along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border vicinity of Khyber Pass, and discussed opportunities to strengthen the military-to-military relationship between CENTCOM and Pakistan Armed Forces.

General Kurilla also participated in a wreath laying ceremony in honor of Pakistani troops martyred in the war against terrorism.
