COAS Appreciates State of Readiness and Morale of Troops Deployed along LOC

General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) visited Line of Control (LOC) on November 21, 2018. General Officer Commanding (GOC) updated him on the situation along LOC, Indian ceasefire violations (CFVs) and response by Pakistan Army. Later COAS interacted with the troops and appreciated their state of readiness and morale. He also appreciated resilience of civilian Kashmiri population who are being deliberately targeted by the Indian Army on both sides of the LOC. He has said that lately there had been an increase in Indian CFVs and rhetoric of provocative statements by their military leadership. Speaking more on this, the coas said “We are a professional and combat hardened Army ready to defend our motherland. It would be better if they realise this and place their stock in peace and progress through dialogue.”
