The Chitral district administrative authority organized a meeting to foster harmony in the region. The meeting, held in Chitral, included Commander Peshawar Corps, Lieutenant General Hassan Azhar Hayat, Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry, Inspector General Frontier Corps North, Major General Noor Wali Khan, Inspector General Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Akhtar Hayat Khan, local administrative officials, security forces, religious scholars, traders, and a significant number of youths.
During the meeting, security conditions and measures to ensure peace and stability in Chitral were discussed. It was emphasized that security, societal, and economic activities in the area would not be compromised under any circumstances. Any individual or group attempting to disrupt peace in the region will not be tolerated.
Lieutenant General Hassan Azhar Hayat, Commander Peshawar Corps, acknowledged the unwavering cooperation of Chitral's brave people, who, in conjunction with the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, and other law enforcement agencies, thwarted terrorist attacks and propaganda efforts. He expressed gratitude to all those who played a role in this achievement.
Participants at the meeting emphasized that Chitral would not tolerate instability and unrest in the region. They reaffirmed their commitment to upholding the rule of law and preventing any harm from befalling the area.
Community leaders affirmed that the people of Chitral have made significant sacrifices and stand as the first line of defense alongside law enforcement agencies in establishing and maintaining peace in the region. The people of Chitral will remain actively engaged in thwarting the aspirations of terrorists seeking to destabilize the area.
