PAF-Turkish Air Force Bilateral Air Exercise
Air Chief Participates and Encourages Both Air Forces
Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan participated in an ongoing bilateral exercise between Pakistan and Turkish Air Force being held at an operational PAF base. During the visit, the Air Chief flew an exercise training mission in a fighter aircraft. Interacting with the combat crew of both the air forces, the Air Chief congratulated participants for the smooth, professional and successful conduct of exercise. He has further said that both the air forces have a long history of enviable cordial relations and this exercise would certainly help them both to learn from each other’s experiences.
Pakistan Successfully Conducts Training Launch of Ghauri Missile System
Pakistan successfully conducted training launch of Ghauri Missile System. Carried out by Army Strategic Forces Command (ASFC), the launch was aimed at testing the operational and technical readiness of ASFC. Ghauri Ballistic Missile can carry both conventional and nuclear warheads up to a distance of 1300 kms.
Commander ASFC appreciated the standard of training and operational preparedness of Army Strategic Forces.
The launch was witnessed by Commander ASFC Lieutenant General Mian Muhammad Hilal Hussain, Chairman NESCOM Dr. Nabeel Hayat Malik, Chairman KRL Mr. Tahir Ikram apart from senior officers from the strategic forces, scientists and engineers of strategic organizations.
The launch consolidates Pakistan’s nuclear capability which is aimed at peace and stability through a credible deterrence regime.
Both President Dr. Alvi and Prime Minister Khan conveyed their appreciation on the successful launch of the the missile system. Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) and the Services Chiefs have also congratulated the strategic forces, scientists and engineers on the accomplishment.
